This rebuild gasket kit was carefully assembled for builders converting a naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE to a single turbo setup. Rather than relying on a standard OEM gasket kit designed around factory configurations, this kit focuses on components that directly support a boosted application.
A key difference is the inclusion of the 2JZ-GTE (twin turbo) head gasket. While commonly associated with factory twin-turbo engines, this gasket is widely used on single-turbo 2JZ-GE builds due to its proven ability to withstand significantly higher cylinder pressures. In addition to slightly lowering the compression ratio, the GTE head gasket offers increased durability under boost and a larger margin of safety compared to the naturally aspirated gasket.
Many OEM gasket kits include parts intended for factory twin-turbo layouts or stock oiling and emissions systems that are not used in a single turbo conversion. This PHR kit eliminates those unnecessary components while retaining the critical upgrades—like the GTE head gasket—that matter for reliability in a boosted 2JZ-GE.
