-20AN Adapter
This billet aluminum adapter replaces the factory coolant water neck on 2JZ‑GE engines, enabling a seamless transition to –20 AN hose connections. Its low-profile design ensures clearance for intake manifolds and steering reservoir, but using this part requires a full upgrade to a –20 AN radiator hose system—making it a key component in a comprehensive high-flow cooling setup.

These kits include stainless‑braided (or black) –20 AN hoses and ends, as well as billet head adapters and lower water necks rotated downward for better manifold clearance.

- Welding –20 AN weld bungs onto an aluminum radiator is required.
- A compatible fan setup is necessary—PHR’s Fan Shroud Kits are highly recommended
Why This Matters
When pushing the 2JZ engine into hard-driving motorsport territory—especially in drift or track applications—cooling systems are frequently pressurized. Stock hoses aren’t rated for that kind of demand. The PHR –20 AN hoses hold up to 300 PSI of pressure, eliminating the risk of hose blow-offs under extreme condition.
Installation Notes & Requirements
- Upgrade radiator to aluminum and weld –20 AN bungs on. (PHR offers some -20AN radiators as well so you wouldn't need to worry about the welding)
- Use appropriate fan shroud kit (PHR’s Fan Shroud Kits ).
- Install billet –20 AN head adapter and lower water neck (rotated for clearance).
- Professional welding and routing recommended to ensure leak‑free and efficient setup.
