Greddy intercooler is one of the best ways to safely increase horsepower in a turbocharged engine. By reducing the engine's inlet temperatures, a denser air charge will enter the engine; this can make more horsepower at the same boost level and even more power at higher boost levels. Even if there is a factory-installed intercooler, generally these stock units are not ideal even for factory boost levels. They are usually mounted in awkward locations and become very susceptible to heat saturation. They are not ideal for increased boost levels. Vehicle specific kits include all the necessary mounts, aluminum piping, hoses, and clamps required to install the kit. All kits are designed with specific cores to provide an ideal concession of cooling and flow, with the added benefit of aggressive looks and style. This is achieved by finding an ideal position and configuration for a wide range of boost levels. The ends of the cores are TIG-welded and capped off with our smooth flowing heavy-duty cast aluminum Greddy end tanks. Lightweight mandrel bent aluminum piping and/or cast aluminum elbows, complete with hose couplers, are used to route air charge smoothly to and from the intercooler.

HKS S-Type intercooler kits are front mount units utilizing either a 600mm X 301mm X 65mm core or a 600mm X 244mm X 65mm core. The larger core is efficient up to 450HP and the smaller core to 400HP. All S-Types utilize a multiple loop shape on the outer fins and a straight through design on the inner fins; allowing the pressurized air to quickly pass through.

HKS R-Type intercooler kits are large front mount units that offer the ultimate in cooling capacity. R-Type intercoolers have been engineered to maintain efficiency on applications rated up to 800HP. Measuring 600mm X 302mm in frontal surface area, R-Type front mount intercooler kits maximize cooling efficiency. The 97mm thickness of the core allows for unrestricted internal airflow of pressurized air without affecting external airflow to the radiator. R-Type kits can be used with a stock turbocharger, and are recommended for highly modified turbocharger applications.

HKS Intercooler Pipe Upgrade kits, by design, increase the efficiency and performance over the factory intercooler pipe system. The application specific kits utilize either cast aluminum or mandrel bent steel pipes to replace the factory rubber or plastic intercooler pipes. Factory intercooler piping has the tendency to expand, come loose or crack under increased boost conditions. The use of HKS intercooler piping offers increased durability, consistent boost pressure, and an attractive appearance. Steady and/or higher boost pressure plus improved response are typical gains from installing an HKS intercooler pipe upgrade kit. Each HKS kit includes aluminum or steel pipes, silicone hoses, stainless steel clamps and other hardware needed to integrate with the factory turbo and intercooler system.

This Intercooler pipe is a 2.5" mandrel bent aluminum drop-down style pipe that would be specific to the Greddy 3 Row, HKS Type R and HKS Type S. This specific pipe is included in the stage 1-3 Turbo Kits to make it quick and easy to have a complete bolt on Turbo Kit!

You need to purchase this item with an HKS Type S or HKS Type R FMIC. This replaces your current overflow tank which must be moved & is rather large & hard to find a place for under the hood. This item already comes in the Greddy 3 & 4 Row Intercooler Kits.
